New for this year: If you play in a band – or have always wanted to – we’ll be blending electric and acoustic instruments to play new material and cover versions in a range of styles in this much-anticipated stream. Yes, the “School of Rock” has now come to Blaithwaite. Join us at Cumbria’s Blaithwaite House for a spectacular week of workshops, exhibition and performance while enjoying a relaxing holiday.
Our Creative Arts Holiday follows a well established pattern of choosing half-day workshops in the early part of the week and a specialized focus of your choice later in the week. Team members use their professional skills, qualifications or hobbies to teach and inspire you individually and in group performances whether you are just trying out these activities or a well established performer already.
Our workshops make use of the remarkable barn meeting room and staging area, the grounds, courtyard and lounges of Blaithwaite and often the surrounding countryside to inspire your pictures and performances.
The delights of Keswick await you on our offsite day which you can fill with shopping, swimming, great museums or spending time by the lake or climbing Cat Bells!
We’re not the most sporty of SU Holidays, but for those with energy to spare in the programme we do have archery, crazy golf, a games room and games field on site and an optional extras list that you might just put your decision making skills over the edge. Like the boomerang you might make in the Woodcraft Project, you’ll keep coming back!
