KX4 has a wide age range which has the advantage of allowing brothers and sisters to come together. This gives the event a great 'family' feel, particularly as some of the leaders bring their young children too. The site has a fantastic view of the Clyde estuary and has the added fun of staying in a tent. As well as the wide range of activities mentioned below, the '9.45 Show' gets the day off to a fun start. In addition, the water slide and the ceilidh towards the end of the week are always considered to be highlights by both campers and leaders.
Building relationships is a key part of what we seek to do during the holiday. Many of the team of volunteers have been committed to KX4 for a number of years. It's great seeing campers and leaders making new friends and developing deeper friendships with the many people who come year after year.
At this site, sleeping accommodation is in tents.
