Do you love curling up with a good story? Do you dream of writing your own novel or play or movie or poems? (Or maybe you’ve already written many!) Have you ever wondered what it means to be part of God’s big story?

 

Join us for the Creative Writing weekend at Alltnacriche: a weekend of stories and adventure! This weekend is for you if you’re a writer, an aspiring writer or an appreciator of good stories.

 

Gather with a group of likeminded people to make new friends and share your love of storytelling. Choose to join practical workshops on writing craft such as plotting, characters, and worldbuilding, alongside fun activities like an escape room, wood carving and archery. Explore the beautiful surroundings at Alltnacriche to inspire your creativity or settle in by the fire for great conversations. And learn more about the greatest book ever written - the Word of God!

 

The team are a mix of people from all over Scotland, ranging from published authors and poets to artists and teachers, but we all have two things in common: we love God and we love stories. And we’d love to inspire you in your own creative projects.

What's the location like?

This is a place like no other. Beautiful hillside location. Near Aviemore in the amazing Scottish Highlands.

What's Outside?

It’s stunning! The centre has 17 acres of land which we manage in partnership with A Rocha UK. With sports field, wooded areas, and burn, you will find loads of places to play, or sit, reflect and enjoy the view of the mountains.

Where is it?

Located in the Cairngorms National Park, Alltnacriche is at Lynwilg, very close to Aviemore and just off the A9. There are loads of visitor attractions nearby and it’s a fantastic area for outdoor activities. Hard to imagine a better place for a holiday.
