Red Trail Biking - GC3MBR
Are you a confident Mountain Biker? Do you crave the mud spraying from your wheels as you climb, descend and explore rugged trials? Then come and spend the week building you confidence, challenging yourself and taking on all the twist and turns that the red graded trails Glencoe has to offer.
This Red Mountain Biking Holiday is for those who are committed to regular biking and are already confident on UK Trail Centre Red Graded trails. One of the venues we will visit, Loggan Wolftax, describe a Red Trial as a “difficult” route, one that requires strength and skill. The route card explains that you can expect “a mixture of steep climbs, descents and / or avoidable features, larger jumps, berms and rollable features at controlled speed. Technical features such as tree roots, drop-offs, large rocks and very variable surfaces.”
Due to the advanced nature of the Red Trials, to join this adventure, you must be healthy and fit enough to spend 5 consecutive days riding for a minimum of 4 hours. You should also be looking to progress your bike handling skills to ride faster and safer and to tackle more technical features such as drops and jumps.
Our instructors will move participants between Red Trails and Blue Trails for both safety and skill progression.
After an action-packed day on the trails, we will head back to our accommodation at the Glencoe Outdoor Centre, to use the drying room, showers and most importantly rebuild our energy to do it all again tomorrow. We will be sharing the centre with the campers of, GC3MBB and the Watersports Holiday, building memories, growing friendships, and having fun together. We will also spend or times exploring the Bible together, offering great opportunity for questions and discussions that have an impact on our lives today.
As you push your boundaries, chase adrenaline and explore views that only your wheels and determination can take you too, you will have lots of fun and make great memories. If all of this excites you? You belong here!
*All equipment hire is included in the cost of the holiday.
Your team leader for this holiday is Karen Campbell.
